NDIS Funding

What is the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)?

The NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) provides funding to eligible people (with identified disability) to access the support and care they need to develop greater age appropriate skills and independence. These enhanced skills and abilities support participants to access the future they want and the lifestyle they desire.

As a registered NDIS provider, Kid Sense can help families navigate the NDIS application process, as well as assess children and write comprehensive reports that diagnose a child’s developmental challenges and support applications for scheme eligibility.

With our extensive knowledge of, and close working relationship with the NDIS, Kid Sense can support clients to use funding appropriately in order to support their developmental and lifestyle goals as well as to maintain appropriate funding in the future. Kid Sense helps clients under the NDIS already to receive the necessary therapy to help participants meet their plan goals, to help families access appropriate ‘reasonable and necessary resources’ where approved by the NDIS, to coordinate the multiple services that might be involved in a child’s plan (where appropriate) and to helps families plan for their NDIS planning meeting by helping families consider their goals for their child and how they might best be achieved.

Kid Sense Child Development is a registered provider of the NDIS providing occupational therapy and speech pathology in the home, educational settings (e.g. preschools and schools) and community settings (e.g. playgrounds) to varying degrees for different families.

If you’re not sure whether your child is eligible for NDIS, please contact Kid Sense for a complimentary 15 minute phone call
